Shirodhara Treatment
SERVICES
Shirodhara is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy that involves gently pouring a stream of warm oil or other liquids onto the forehead, specifically the “third eye” or the pituitary gland area, for a prolonged period of time. It is a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating treatment that aims to balance the mind, body, and spirit. The word “shiro” refers to the head, and “dhara” means a continuous flow.
During a typical Shirodhara treatment in Dubai, the client lies down while a steady stream of warm oil, medicated milk, buttermilk, or herbal decoctions is poured onto the forehead in a rhythmic and continuous manner. The oil or liquid is typically poured from a special vessel hung above the head, and it flows in a gentle stream over the forehead, allowing the recipient to enter a state of deep relaxation.
Shirodhara treatment is believed to have a variety of benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving mental clarity, promoting better sleep, nourishing the scalp and hair, and balancing the doshas (energetic principles) in the body. It is often used as a therapeutic treatment for conditions related to the head, neck, and nervous system, and is considered a very effective form of Ayurvedic rejuvenation therapy.
